The Best Marketing Strategy Ever
What exactly is the best promotional strategy ever?
Email Marketing!! Yes that is correct email marketing.
Building a listing of e-mail customers can be the single most powerful thing you can do for your internet enterprise.
In my opinion e-mail marketing will never die out. Why? Because you need an
email address to set up accounts for just about everything.1. To set up an online bank account.
2. To set up a Netflix account.
3. To open up a Facebook account.
And just about any other account you can think of.
Even the major companies understand the power of email selling.
When was the last time you bought something at Macy’s or Bestbuy and
they did not ask for your e-mail?
Then when Father’s day or any major holiday comes around you get a mail
from these companies with Special Father’s Day Sales!
If you are not building your list of subscribers you are shooting yourself in the foot.
Below I'm going to cover what is wanted to start building your e-mail list.
What's needed to build a list properly.
A. The very first thing you will need is a domain name.
This may be related to the niche you are opting to enter or if you
are desiring to brand yourself along with your business you can always
use www.YourName.com
There are two main places to get site names for around $10 a piece.
Godaddy.com and Namecheap.com. I personally like using Namecheap
simply because they offer a load less upsells from the begining of the sale to
the end which saves lots of time.
One thing both offer is discount codes. You can do a straightforward google search
for “namecheap voucher code for [enter month and year]” The discount code will
save you about $1 per domain. The savings may not appear like much at the moment
but when you begin purchasing many domains you'll observe the savings.
As the old chestnut goes a penny saved is a penny earned.
B. Hosting.
Once you've your web site name picked out you'll need to buy web hosting
. I seriously recommend using Hostgator.com. They're very trusty, have
glorious customer service and very inexpensive. It is easy to get their baby package
for about $8/month.
If you don't know what hosting is it’s bascially where all the files for your internet site
will be stored.
C. Autoresponder.
Having an autoresponder is the most powerful tool when building a list.
Quite candidly it Cannot be done without one. This is HOW you'll collect your
e-mails.
An auto responder service is what allows you to create all of the capture forms you
will need. A capture form is basically where you “Enter Your Name And Email.”
I am almost sure you have seen a capture form before (aka opt-in form).
An auto responder also allows you to set up emails that'll be sent
at express time intervals cited by you. For instance you can write
an e-mail to be despatched to your email list and schedule it to be sent 2 hours
from now, 7 days from now, or 3 months from now. However you
set it up. Here is where your money is made.
I strongly recommend using Aweber.com they are really newbie friendly
and easy to work with. A simple account with Aweber will run you about
$19/month BUT worth each penny once you understand the power of
having your own email list.
If you are on a restricted budget Mailchimp.com is a FREE service but I can’t say much
about their service since I have not used them.
D. Your FREE motivating offer.
This is where the wizardry happens. You will need something of high value
so people feel like they “need” what you've got to offer and are willing to
trade their email address for your free gift.
An easy way to come up with your free gift is to think about what problem
people are having in your niche and make a product to solve their problem.
This is in the form of an E-book, Video Training series, Audio Recording,
Software, for example.
This lets you instantly set yourself up as an expert in your field in the
eyes of your customers. It may also build instant trust; both which are HUGE
later on down the road when you are suggesting a product to your e-mail list.
Some of you might be thinking your gift has to be this 30-45 page ebook or a
complete 20 video coaching series. It Doesn't! It can be a short 7-10 page
e-book or 3-5 videos Loaded with price.
Value weighs heavier then length in this aspect.
E. Squeeze Page.
Once you've your FREE product it's now time to line up your squeeze page.
I am a enormous fan of WordPress and creating capture pages. With
WordPress. I use a theme called OptimizePress.
OptimizePress is a fully customizable theme that creates high converting,
extraordinarily pro capture pages, sales pages, product launch pages with in
15 minutes. Literally!
Everything is “click to activate.”
If you need to save lots of time I'd strongly recommend picking up a
copy of OptimizePress.
There's one more crucial step when it comes to building your list.
That's to build a relationship with your list! Earn their trust.
Here's where plenty will blow it! Give value and further tips and
tricks to help your customers BEFORE you ever try and sell anything!
Price them as your subscriber and do everything in your power to truly
help them.
A great way to see what to do and what NOT to do is join up to other
gurus email list in your niche and see what they are doing. Model the ones that
get your attention and supply price and learn from the ones who
only spam you with affiliate offers.
This can make or break your business! If you come off as a spammer not
only will you not make any sales but you'll get A Lot of people to
unsubscribe from your list.
When you begin building your list and develop a wonderful relationship with your list
you will be able to make earnings on demand by simply sending an e-mail to
your subscribers. That is when things get Truly FUN!
So again building an e-mail list and developing that relationship is the most powerful
thing you can do for your business!

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
